Peanut Butter No-Bake Cheesecake- Cooking with Dane on His 10th Birthday

Dane's Peanut Butter No-Bake Cheesecake!
Doug and I traveled to Indiana to celebrate our grandson, Dane's, 10th birthday.  When we walked through the door, his little brother, Graham, asked if we were going to blog.  Of course!
I brought a recipe that was kid-friendly.  Dane did a great job, and the final result was very tasty.

 Peanut Butter No-Bake Cheesecake
Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup roughly chopped peanuts
  • One 9-inch prepared graham cracker crust
  • 1- 8-oz. carton Cool Whip non-dairy topping
  • Peanut butter chips
  • Chocolate sprinkles
Blend the cream cheese, sour cream, peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy with a hand mixer.  Sprinkle the chopped peanuts around the bottom of the pie crust and spoon the cheesecake filling on top, smoothing out the top and spreading the filling to the edge.  Cover the cheesecake and refrigerate until set, at least 3 hours.
When ready to assemble, spoon the Cool Whip onto the cheesecake filling and spread out to the sides of the pan.  Sprinkle with the peanut butter chips and chocolate sprinkles.
